What is a Sports Betting System?

What is a Sports Betting System?
The term sports betting system is frequently used, but very little understood. For most people, it is nothing more or less than something you buy to win all of your bets. Well, at least 97% of them.
But what is the real purpose of a sports betting system?
The professional sports bettors use their systems for two things. Handicapping, which is deciding which games to bet on, and which teams to bet. A good handicapper not only looks at the teams, but they also look at the situation under which the game is being played.
In baseball that could be whether the game is indoors or out, night or day, etc. Any or all of these things could throw the probabilities your way. A good system will identify the situations that actually do.
The other part of the system is the money management you will use for it. Straight bets or progression? Money line or spread? Over or under? Whatever it is that a particular situation can aid in the prediction of.
Only when the two have been assembled together into a way to make a profit can it be called a successful sports betting system. It may only win 55% of the time, but that is enough to win a lot of money.
There are no perfect betting systems. The 97% systems advertised everywhere are no exception. But there are successful betting systems. Every professional has many, but most losers have none at all.
What is a sports betting system? It is the difference between winning and losing. It is a way to control your betting, predict the outcome with some accuracy, and a way to produce results that can be properly analyzed and improved because of consistent application.
Simply put, you just can't win without one.
